May 6-10, 2024, is National Nurses' Week. The day to honor school nurses is Wednesday, May 8.
ÐÓ°É Public Schools has four school nurses: Kizzy Gross, RN (lead nurse), Tiffany Adams, RN, Shanta Bridges, RN, and Bernice Small, RN (not pictured). These professionals coordinate and educate our families about health care as well as assist scholars and staff with well-care and chronic pediatric health conditions.
" School nurses play a vital role in the academic success of our scholars," said Amanda Thomas, Executive Director of Climate & Wellness. "Our nurses provide the support needed for scholars to attend school in a protective and safe environment."
We salute the daily efforts of JPS school nurses who support our scholars’ wellbeing and safety, and contribute to their ability to perform well academically.
