Mrs. Burris is one of the gifted teachers at Wells APAC. Mrs. Burris is a 16-year veteran teacher who holds many certifications within her Masters of Education degrees such as K-8 Elementary Education, K-12 Gifted Education, k-12 Mild/Moderate Disabilities, 7-12 Mathematics, 7-12 Science, 7-12 Social Studies, and 7-12 Language Arts. Mrs. Burris has been awarded Teacher of the Month, “Step Up for the Arts” Carrie Award,  received several grants for her classroom/students and in 2019-2020, she was awarded a schoolwide STEM grant, and has served as department chair in previous years. During her leisure time, Mrs. Burris enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, writing poetry, drawing, taking photographs, and listening to music.
