Hello, my name is Latoya Atkins-Elam and I am the Interventionist at Van Winkle. This is my third year with the district. Previously, I worked as a Lead Healthy Pregnancy Coach with Delta Health Alliance, helping to reduce preterm birth rates in the State, a Field Technical Assistant with the Leadership and Professional Development team with The Early Year's Network through Mississippi State University , a Health Program Specialist with Child Care Licensure with The Mississippi Department of Health, a Training Consultant with ÐÓ°É State University and a Teacher with Hinds County Human Resource Agency Project Head Start.
I am a proud graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi and ÐÓ°É State University. I am the mother of 5 children and one granddaughter. I've been married for 5 years and we reside in Madison County along with our family dog, Rocket. I have a strong passion and love for Early Childhood Education and strive to help families and children reach their full potential by providing high-quality experiences, resources and services to improve the quality of life.
