I am the Librarian here at Van Winkle Early Childhood Center.  I have been teaching for over ten years.  I started my teaching career in Rankin County as a classroom teacher.  I came to Van Winkle as the Librarian, where I have dedicated my time to instilling a love of reading in my students.  In library classes we not only read stories, but we talk about the parts of books and how to take care of them.  We also learn about the different types of books; fiction, non-fiction, fairy-tales, etc.  I look forward to working with all of our students to get them interested in taking on the great adventure that is reading.
