    Van Winkle Early Childhood Center is one of 33 elementary schools in the ÐÓ°É Public School District.  It serves as the Pre-Kindergarten hub where faculty and staff champion ÐÓ°É Public Schools'  #1 Commitment: A Strong Start.  We believe scholars perform better in school and complete more years of education when they engage in high-quality early learning.  Providing comprehensive access to high-quality pre-kindergarten opportunities exposes young scholars to positive learning experiences that will prepare them to develop the skills needed for success in school and life.  Through strategic initiatives, we will ensure that every scholar at Van Winkle has access to high-quality, full-day early learning opportunities, aligning with the ÐÓ°É Public School District's vision of every child entering kindergarten ready to experience school success.  

     

    Mission

    The mission of Van Winkle Early Childhood Center is to make teaching and learning a priority in a safe and joyful environment, so that students can flourish, prosper, and thrive.  We take great pride in ensuring that pre-kindergarten scholars have the necessary mindset, skillset, and toolset to develop across content areas and domains.
