On Friday, February 18, 2022, 10th and 11th grade scholars in the Academy of Health Services at Lanier high School engaged in a day of learning at the University of Mississippi Medical Center SIM Lab. Instructed by Ms. Joyce Shelby, students participated in five stations set up to demonstrate Venipuncture, Sterile Scrubbing, Gowning, and Gloving, Patient Transfer, Wound Care, and Charting/ Documentation. The students enjoyed the day of teaching and learning and will return in April. Thank you to UMMC faculty and staff for providing such a valuable and engaging learning experience.
