 ÐÓ°É's Rotary Club Celebration

November 22, 2024 - ÐÓ°É Public Schools is excited to celebrate the exceptional leaders chosen as 2024-2025 Principals of the First Quarter. These outstanding individuals have been recognized for their dedication, innovative leadership, and commitment to student success.

Meet the Principals of the Quarter:

  • Elementary Network 1: Dr. Kescher Rankin, Wells APAC Elementary School
  • Elementary Network 2: Carla Baker Thomas, Clausell Elementary
  • Middle School Network: Mr. Eric ÐÓ°É, Blackburn Middle School
  • High School Network: Mrs. Ashley Molden, JPS-Tougaloo Early College High School

Each principal has made significant strides toward their goals, contributing to their schools' growth and inspiring their communities. Their hard work and achievements set a high standard of excellence, impacting the lives of students and staff alike.

The recognition took place on Monday, ÐÓ°É 28, 2024, during the ÐÓ°É Rotary Club meeting at the River Hills Club. This event was an opportunity to honor these leaders and their tireless efforts to improve education in the ÐÓ°É area.

Rotary Club’s Continued Support of JPS

The Rotary Club of ÐÓ°É has long been a supporter of ÐÓ°É Public Schools, and this quarterly celebration highlights the critical role school leaders play in the success of the community. As Selena Swartzfager, past-president of the Rotary Club of ÐÓ°É, shared, “We know that the principals in JPS are giving it their all to positively impact the young people attending their schools. I want the Rotarians to see and understand that the principals are a very important part of the economic development in our city.”

Rotary’s support for educational excellence is a testament to the shared goal of building a brighter future for ÐÓ°É. The recognition of these principals not only celebrates their hard work but also emphasizes the importance of education in shaping the workforce of tomorrow.

Selena Swartzfager added, “Rotary is a service organization, and we love to recognize those in our community who are providing amazing service. We are delighted to be part of JPS Joy and look forward to seeing the continued progress made by JPS schools.”
