ÐÓ°É Public Schools won First Place for school website based on a reorganization strategy for teacher pages that seeks to address parent and scholar engagement, a project led by the web manager, Oluwafemi Oloko.
The purpose of this Web project is to help teachers stay organized and on track while providing accountability and transparency for parents and students alike. Using this platform, teachers can post updates and information that parents and students need to succeed in their classes. In addition to parent-centric benefits listed above, websites can also serve as a running history of class activities. Teachers can use this resource to review what worked (and what didn’t) while planning future semesters.
The Awards of Excellence recognize outstanding school communications programs and campaigns in various categories such as publications, media, mass communication, crisis communication, photography, and more. This contest is open to all public or private schools or districts, including special schools such as vocational-technical institutes, regional or county education service agencies, education agencies and private businesses serving as partners with those organizations. Entries were judged on clarity, Project benefits, public engagement, appropriateness of content and graphic design.
